The Sperwer unmanned system was developed by the Sagem company to support combat units at Brigade level by conducting reconnaissance flights to gather information and locate targets. The Sperwer system consists of unmanned aerial vehicles, a ground control station (GCS), a portable hydraulic catapult and a ground terminal that collects all intelligent data from the Sperwer in flight. The above system can be transported by a C-130 aircraft and be operated from geographical areas without requiring any preparation of the launch site. The manufacturing company declares that the Sperwer system is suitable to operate in high and low temperatures with wind, and rain, but also in freezing conditions. The Sperwer B is also capable of operating at altitudes up to 5400 meters.
